Finding Your Miniature Schnauzer
This section contains information about how to find the right Miniature Schnauzer puppy for you.
In brief it contains information about:
Finding a Breeder
Finding a good breeder is probably the most important and at the same time most difficult part of buying a Miniature Schnauzer. If you are buying a puppy for the first time you are unlikely to know exactly what questions to ask or what to look for in a puppy and it's breeder. A good breeder will help you with any questions you have, ask you questions, keep you informed of developments during pregnancy and send you regular updates (and photos!) on your puppy after it has been born.
Due to the growing popularity of Miniature Schnauzers once you have found
a breeder with a litter due in the near future, you will often have to
go on a waiting list for your puppy. When you're on the
list, it is easy to become excited and full of expectation about your unborn
puppy. However, it is important to remember that your breeder cannot guarantee
the colour and sex puppy that you are looking for will be born in a litter.
Just because the breeders bitch had a certain mix of colours and sexes
in their last litter is does not mean that the mix will be repeated. If
you are disappointed, it is important that you think about whether to have
one of the other puppies that is not exactly what you are looking for.
Online Breeder Details
There are many breeders advertising their services online but a good starting point is the list at Champ Dogs:
